Fuel pump flange gaskets

  1. Wow. That's possibly the dullest four words I've ever written!

So, while the van was up on the MOT tester's ramp last week, my mechanic pointed out an oil leak between the engine and fuel pump. It was just an advisory, but we agreed we'd get it fixed while he was sorting out the failure issues. I agreed to buy the parts using my discounts as it was pretty obvious what I needed to order.

Or so I thought. I popped over to the mechanic for something unrelated and mentioned I'd bought the parts and showed him a picture of the fuel pump flange gasket I'd ordered from CoolAir.

... to which he said "did you order one or two?"

I've looked again on the usual sites and this is the only T4 2ltr gasket I can see listed with no mention of needing two. The T1 1600 version comes in upper and lower versions, with a solid one available (as opposed to this "outline"one). Is there another gasket I need to get, or will this one little squiggle of paper do the trick?

The middle two don't sound so bad. :D

Yes you do need one for each side of the bakerlite/plastic spacer = 2 gaskets.
