Hi all, got the van out of the garage for the first time in about 5 months. No work has been done to it and it was all fine when parked up in autumn last year. Now when I brake, the front side lights and dash light up at the same time! Anyone got an idea where to start my search for the electrical problem?!
I cant remember what bay brake bulbs are but if its shared with the side light , twin element and you put a single pin in it will do this.
Hi Usual culprit blown stop tail bulb,or as mentioned wrong bulb fitted not often down to a bad earth. When bulb "blows" broken filament falls on to its supports joining stoplights to tail, lights giving your symptoms .
Thanks for the replies guys. Not changed any bulbs recently but will check out the brake lights to see if either has blown!
Thought I'd update this as I had a chance to check out the problem this eve. The culprit was the dodgy connections behind one of the tail / stop bulbs. Cleaned them up and bent them back and all working correctly! Thanks for the help all
