Front seats...

  1. Hi, I posted before the reform about getting my seat frames and springs repaired, just wondered who it was had some spares or anyone know of anybody who restores seat frames before I have them recovered? Thanks guys :)

  2. ah iwas fortunate to use a classic restorer who rep;aces the knackered springs etc and used new padding etc.

  3. Go to a furniture restorer, flash your pearlies and bag some springs off them.
Then bend them with pliers so they match your knackered ones.
    Attach them with wire.
Add new padding (we got ours from heritage but all the main vw places do them) then cover with a layer of memory foam.
    Good as new!
Good luck, Lardy. It's quite an easy job if you can blagg some springs-don't think you can buy them so you'll have to brush up on your begging/flirting skills :)

Disclaimer. I am not condoning the use of the 'flashing the boobies' technique to get what you want. LOL

  4. Maybe I'll have a look at Dubfreeze on Sunday, see what they've got. Going to cost enough to recover and with the whole van to do I think £500 to have the front seats is a bit steep.

  5. Who was it that you used?
