Front seat rail locations

  1. Evening all.. My project Ted bus had a rear bench seat from another vehicle fitted in the front.

I've removed that now (was poo) and from what I can tell there is no seat rails.

Now I've googled and searched a tad and every bus I've found seem to be differ t to the structure I have in mine.

Van is a twin slider.. Originally panel van with a full waist height bulkhead and looks as though it should be a bench seat as I don't think there is about land to fit to individual seat rails..

Any clarity would be cool with correct methods to mount..

Got any pictures of where the seated mount ?

would probably be a twin bench and a single

  3. I think I've figured it out.. I believe there is a support missing which is biased towards the drivers side.. Looks as though its been cut out. Send pic shortly

  5. Hi Lefty you are correct the frame that normally supports the inboard drivers seat rail has been cut out, probably so a non VW seat could be fitted. Here is a shot showing a part of mine:[IMG]

yup where the seatbelt stalk is mounted to the piece of steel sticking out that would have run round to the front floor, what seats do you want to fit now ?

  7. I would like to go full bench. I don't gain anything having a single and a double or two singles.. So looking at this. I'm tempted to fabricate my own bench seat.. Bomber style but with some added cushioning comfort.
