Front gear linkage rod - standard or modified for adjustable beam

I’m looking to return to standard gear linkage after a T25 shifter and rods were fitted in my bus.

I’m missing the front shift rod - before I buy one; I have an adjustable beam (for now) - do I absolutely need the modified front rod with a big kink in it, or can I get away with the standard item? Difference in price is about £90!

    Ta!

You can bend them yourself and save £90!

Take it easy, it's hollow so likely to suddenly kink if you're not careful.

Is it worth trying to use one of those pipe bending springs to put inside the pipe when bending it ? or will the spring just get trapped in there .. - or use red heat to soften it.
Some people cut and weld to avoid the kinking .

I did somebody's over my knee at TE once. They bend pretty easily, just thin stuff so maybe the spring type pipe bender would at least prevent complete disaster.
