I'm after just the captive nut plate that the front doors bolt onto on the A post, would take a damaged mangled/rusty cut with a hinge mount - as its only the captive nut plate the door hinge bolts onto I require.

    Let me know thanks!

  2. Could you not make one? Or have someone on here make one? It's just a chunk of steel with 2 holes drilled and tapped to m8 thread.

I'm going to shamelessly thread hijack now.

If anyone here can make one of those captive nut plates and tap the holes would they please make me one that fits into the 'B' pillar for the catch plate.
Even better if that someone has received a keyring from me as that would be a nice tidy circle of karma.

  4. I could probably do one for you bob but won't be able to until the new year. And one for Kruger too if he wanted, but chances are someone else could do it quicker and better :p

Carl I'm not in a rush, the new year would be fine and dandy.
It's a very nice offer, thank you

p.s. I can't remember if I've made you one of my wooden keyrings but if not maybe you'd like one.

I've done the other three and they're sitting on the kitchen side waiting to be posted, but just before I did, you posted and said you wanted one. As they're all made out of your wood it didn't seem fair to post theirs until yours was ready.
Yours is marked out and rough cut but I still need to do all the internal cuts, so at the moment it's sat out in the shed on top of the saw. My plan is to get all four in the post before Christmas. :)

  8. only jesting, don't worry. i've got loads of jobs in garage to do but no time, mcj wheel to fit cooling flap set so engine out job but van all tucked up till new year then will have to crack on, camping in march hopefully.

No, you misunderstand, I'm being kept out of my shed because of work and stuff. Going into the shed and making things IS having a break. :)

I'd imagine they're fairly easy to make if you've got the correct dimensions and materials, (5mm plate???)
