Do you mean a double passenger seat, they're the same L or RHD, have you got the bulk head and the brackets welded in?
Think there's a pic in my pickup resto thread somewhere!

Just been speaking to Zed and he informed me that there is no such thing as a bench seat for bay window, so yes double seat Im after. I dont have any brackets in place I think so will have to track some down or get made up. Didnt know its same for left or right hand drive so have even more knowledge now :) thanks Flakey

  4. Shame just sold my one Friday, but am not convinced they are the same for left hand drive and RHD as the runners on mine were off centre as they were using the single seat runners welded into the bus, but I stand to be corrected

  5. Oh and a bench seat is available, and I want one, only problem is they are aftermarket flip seats and about a £1,000 and pretty rare on the secondhand market

Oh no. Never mind. I was going to post about it last week but never did. Early bird eh.

A flip one at 1k is a bit too much for me. Just after the standard one

@dean_butler while I remember, there are at least 2 types of bench seat, one has a bar sticking out across the bottom and can't be retro-fitted to a walkthrough bus.

...and the one I fitted to the early did not have springs, it was a solid shaped piece of rock hard polystyrene type stuff with wafer thin padding under the cover. You wouldn't want to go far sitting on it.

That's a type 25 bench seat, bays are like a big version on the single seat

  11. To be honest my late bay seats and runners are interchangeable with type 25s in fact I am using t25 seats as the are more comfy.
Maybe the t25 double seat is the perfect mod to suit then, it worked in mine

The ones I've seen are my pickup lhd, Berns pickup rhd, and a lhd panel van and they're all identical, they don't have runners they slide up under a clip each side at the top of the backrest and hook over 2 welded in hooks at the rear of the seat, they don't adjust but you can lift the front to get access to spare wheel underneath!

Oh and if you're not good friends with the middle seat passenger, you will be soon :p

  13. The t25 double seat works well and slides on the bay tracks to give adjustment and is a good way of getting 3 seats in the front of a walk through

Any pics? What about the bit overhanging the walkthrough?

  15. Bit overhanging walk through is supported by a cross bar that the back of the seat hangs from, the bottom of the seat just cantilevers
Unfortunately I sold my bay crew cab Friday morning and my T25 Doka Friday afternoon so seats and mountings now gone to new home, but have taken the double seat out of my T25 single cab and fitted a pair of captains seats, will take a pic to show the base and the top mounts, but I have fitted a dicky seat between them which may obscure the pics.
Dicky seat doesn't work too well due to the captain seat armrests so having a rethink on that arrangement[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  16. Have to push the captain seats fully forward then drop the dicky seat then pull captain seat back , bit of a faff for the 3rd seat
As you can see there is no support other than the runners for the base of the double seat, and there are two brackets with slotted holes for the back,

  17. Got a bluebird middle seat if yer interested

  18. If you want to try my dicky seat arrangement you are welcome, works perfectly with seats without armrests and has built in seatbelt
    Whereabouts are you

Blow me down, that's good, but from what you've said you'd need the later adjustable seat runners on each side? As they aren't parallel with the van how does that work?
