Front beam removal question

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by markey, Aug 13, 2012.

  1. Most of the way through removing the front beam from the bus

Gear linkage, handbrake, steering all disconnected

Iv a bit unsure what to go with the brake servo and master cylinder, is it best to disconnect the servo from the beam or disconnect everything from the servo and drop it with the beam

I want to refurb the lot so it will all be coming off at some point, just looking for the easiest / best way

  2. I'd say drop it with the beam , I don't have one my self so I did not have to take one off

  3. Ok mate, have just drained some of the brake fluid out using my eezeyblead kit so it shouldn't make too much mess when I release the brake lines

    Cheers

  4. I'd do it in one big lump. Can't you just unbolt the master cylinder from the servo, then drop the lot?

  5. Think it will all come out as one, not sure how the MC is attached to the servo, I'll just drop the 2 brake lines out and go from there
