  2. I did paint my rear hatch today.. Sprayed it on. Light dust initially then a thicker.. Will require a few weeks I imagine at least to harden properly before I sand it and will add a final layer.

Feel the finish at present is nice. Happy for a home build rebuild/resto[IMG][IMG]

Anyone tried MetaLine? Or would that be over engineering?

  4. Realistically any black paint will do . Powdercoated or Raptor bed liner , rustoleum is good .. beams rust from the inside out

  5. Indeed they do, especially the pressed "horns".

Admirable skills and dedication chaps.

Being both old (life's too short) AND lazy, I am able to persuade myself that everything underside looks like poop after a couple of years of year round use whatever I do... so I don't bother... apart from the tubs which are easy.

An MOT inspector once suggested to me that if I made matching "covers" so it looked symmetrical, that rotting bit of sill/floor support near the back that's hard to get at couldn't be inspected and would look, at a glance, as it should be....
