You won't have heard of him but he is a semi professional footballer for Stranraer in Scotland. He played Played for Stranraer against Clyde yesterday after working through the night as a fireman at the helicopter accident in Glasgow. Finished his shift at 0800 and went straight to the ground to get ready. Respect to him and shame on any other footballer who claims they are tired before a game.
Absolute respect for the guy - however - turning up at 8.00am for kick off at 2.00pm only underlines that having a decent occupation does not totally separate you from the less kind comments on a footballer's brain power.
