Found this while out wandering

Kids were seriously hyper on Sunday so I toke them out to try to burn off some energy and i came across this old chassis section.It has mechanical drum brakes and the remains of the wire wheel so would that indicate something more sporty than commercial ? Any ideas what it was off ?
