Had a problem of not being able to lock the front door with the correct key so assumed the lock was at fault and bought a new one. On taking the door card off I found the reason was the the key barrel extension 'finger' had come off due to the locating screw had come undone (not good enough after 40 years of use!) and both parts were sitting inside on the floor of the door. So just a quick retrieve of these parts, remove the door handle with a 4.5m allen key, put finger back on barrel and replace screw to hold in place and refit door handle! Job done and another 'spare bit' in the spares box. See pic for parts in question.
