Found out what the noise was

I had my work van in for a service 3 weeks ago.since I got it back I've had this annoying rattle and vibration type noise .This was in the space under the windscreen on top of the air intake.

If it's the fitter's own then fair enough - but if not, you've provided the garage with 3 weeks of secure tool storage, that's about the same cost of a second hand ratchet wrench...............

A good part of my tool kit is made up of under bonnet finds

 

The Snap on man calls every week. He's probably replaced it by now - I'd keep it.

 

Give it back, but charge an hour at garage rates for removing it, fully invoiced, of course.

Snap on and Halfrauds ratchets are identical. The only difference is that on the snap on, the ratchet works on smaller increments, so doing up/ undoing things is easier.
