forum rules/mission statement

    The Late Bay is a popular forum and we have got a lot of loyal members.

    People who have been on here a long time will know we have weathered many storms, seen a lot of ups and downs, but from time to time the fundamental ethos of what we aim for gets forgotten.

    The Late Bay is set up as a friendly forum, we strive to make it a place where everyone is welcome, this can only happen if everyone follows a few simple manners.

    Of late there has been a rise in members swearing, posting obscene jokes and using images that turn TLB into a place others do not like.
    Please read the following carefully and make sure you fully understand each point.
    Any breach of the Acceptable Behaviour may result in a permanent ban without warning.


    You must not post any material (written or images) which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, discriminatory, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

    We do accept healthy debate on topics, however you may not partake in Personal attacks (flames) against other Forum members in any of the open forums.

    Forums posts that have the intention of instigating fights, insulting other members or disrupting the enjoyment of other members will be removed and will lead to a ban.

    Images must be kept clean - both in posts and users avatars.

    Questions in for sale threads should be relevant to the content and not critical. If you have issues with the product being sold you should report the thread and contact a moderator or administrator.

    Any posting or behavior by any member contrary to the rules of the forum will result in a warning. When three warnings are reached by a member they will receive a minimum of a three day ban from posting, the administration team will use this time period to decide on any further action to be taken. In extreme cases of bullying, harassment or threatening behavior an immediate ban can be issued. All final decisions will be made by a member or members of the administration team. The administration team reserve the right to alter these rules at any time. Any amendments made will be posted in General Discussion.


    'we rely on members to take an active role in keeping tlb a place that people want to come back to. If you see anything that goes against the above please report it using report button' and we'll deal with it as soon as possible but don't get involved in other peoples issues or this will also result in warnings or a ban. We are here to deal with problems so you don't have to.

    these are the guidelines that we are using to moderate this forum, and is going to be the signup agreement. I'm sick of getting pm's from members about the way the forum is becoming, and the deliberate mod baiting and pushing of the boundaries that has been occurring of late.
