I wonder what would happen to their prize money now and how much that's worth?

They are 9th and unlikely as it is are not actually far off 8 and 7th.

Marussia currently lie ninth in the championship thanks to the two points Bianchi scored by finishing ninth in Monaco.

They will retain that place officially, but when it comes to allocating the prize money from this season, the remaining team below them - Sauber - will be moved up and receive the funds instead.

 

I sort of disagree with that if that is the case.

 

I wonder how much it is - you'd of thought it might have been worth marussia holding out for that prize money

 

probably a lot less than they owe..... they still haven't paid ferrari for their engines, there was no option to hold out administration is what it is..... i'm sure the administrators tried to "sell" it with the option of money to come in but investors must have seen the debt and gone away thinking ermmmm no ta

Yes - pity he pushed too hard on worn tyres- double points on last race actually will make it more interesting - but tough on Hammy if he loses it!

well, i didn't know that, not one for the moral high ground as we've all done the odd naughty thing but bad show on his part there (if the fail is filled with any truth) geri was always 1st in line of "which spice girl in which order" back in the day but she's a bit of a mare now.

I also have heard he's in line to take over when Bernie keels over (cause he ain't going to leave before hand) but maybe that's the old rumour mill going round.
