Ferrari have confirmed on their Twitter feed that Dominacali has "stepped down" & Marco Mattiacci has taken over

 

Ferrari have been abysmal since he took over and its not improved this year.

I'd be surprised if alonso is there next year.

 

I can't see someone whose only experience is as a car salesman & with no racing background making much of a difference
Wonder if they'll open the cheque book & try to entice Ross Brawn back? Ferrari always do better when they are not led by Italians

 

There's not many places for him to go, unless Vettel & he swap drives. I can't see him at McLaren especially as Ron Dennis has stated that he might even put Vandoorme into the seat next to Magnussen next year depending how Button performs (since JB is out of contract at the end of the year).
Mercedes, perhaps but would he want to go up against Hamilton? & unless Rosberg does something really silly I can't see him leaving them either.
So where would he go? Williams & team up with Massa again? Lotus? Gene Haas Racing?

Awesome! This can only be a good thing IMO.... Red Bull will have the bit between their teeth even more now. With a bit of luck the gap to the Mercs will close after the Chinese race and we'll have a good fight til the end of the season.

 

i'm sad for daniel but not for red bull, as said this will make it tighter towards mid/end season, hopefully they won't nick it with the double points rule though...... as for next year ref drivers, it would be a shame to see button out, i'd like to see him in a honda again but i fear he may be forced off due to no contract and no decent drive.... i'm thinking he's the oldest driver on grid now?

 

JB is now the oldest on the grid.
I can see this season going the same as 1988 when McLaren won 15 out of 16 with the MP4/4 & all bar one Pole Positions. Of course they also had Prost & Senna at the wheel.

Wet P3, possibly wet for quali & Vettel is sounding really peed off on the team radio. They may have a KERS issue on his car.
Should be interesting in quali if it stays wet.

I did love the pics of Maldonado's car in the garage after P1 - No floor and no engine, just the rads behind the drivers tub and front end.... looked rather odd!!
