footwell drainage holes

Discussion in 'Introduce Yourselves' started by Baydreamer, Apr 5, 2015.

  1. mine dont have any ! previous owner replaced sills so just checking what i need to do

should the holes line up with the drain holes on the bottom of the front doors or are they offset?
do i need to buy a gromet of some kind or just treat the hole once drilled?
    any other tips welcomed!
    thanks

I did wonder? The only holes in the step are the ones the rubber tread pushes into

No, it should be angled lower outside to drain.

The drain hole is outside the seal so your water is coming from somewhere else.

Must confess - I assumed the holes in the step were for drainage - and consequently wondered how they work when the rubbers push through them!

It all about the angle of dangle....
