Evening all, My indicators and hazard lights only flash once or twice then stop. I assume this is a relay problem. I've got a replacement (3 pin) relay but where does it go?! I expected to find it in the bottom of the fuse box but there's only one there and that's a 5 pin which I thought was for the headlights? Any ideas? Fuse box: Existing relay (headlamp?) New relay: Cheers
you can take the case off the old one and see what is going on ,usually corroded or spring ,spray the inners with wd40.. having the scooby, they might have moved it ,press the hazzards and find the clicks..
Ah right! I'll find it tomorrow then. I knew logically it must be there somewhere, I was just expecting it to be in the bottom of the fuse box!
I've just had an issue with mine but both relays are up above the fuse box not plugged in sorry. Five pin IS headlight and three pin is indicator mate. You should be able to see the cables plugged into the slots where it plugs in?
See those wires plugged into the slots next to your headlamp relay. Follow them - the flasher relay may be on the other end...
Three pin is closest all the way to left .drivers side , Signal flasher. 5 pin is headlight ,high beam etc flasher . Will have a lead wire coming from the flasher psrt . Tothe high beam rail.
Right, found the relay but it's a 2 pin "Bosch P122 Electronic Flasher... Any ideas if I can make this work with a 3 pin?
How are the terminals marked? If 49 and 49a, you're fine. The 31 ground pin may well be the flasher body, which is earthed by the mounting screw. But...I thought it didn't work? If it doesn't, rip it out and plug a 3-pinner into the left hand relay socket. PS throw the existing extra wires away.
Yep, the 2 pin existing (Bosch one) is sticky. Works a couple of times than sticks again. Cleaning up the terminals didn't fix it. The 2 terminals aren't numbered. I might try the "bin the existing wires and use the fuse box slot' when I don't want to use it tomorrow! No idea why it's been moved so don't want to balls it up! Cheers @snotty
