  1. Whats the longest youve had a part or acessory in your garage that you intended to fit but still waiting to be fitted to your van!! I know weve some epic restorations on here but thats not what im talking. Im referring more to running, on the road stuff where you just never got around to doing the job.

    Reason I say this is I found a reciept for my Dells that I bought at Vanfest in 2002!!! I can remember it like it was yesterday. Ive got a few bits that Ive collected that ive possibly had longer but this was a major purchase for me and although they were briefly on when I swapped my motor in 2004 (I think) they did about 2 miles!

  2. Temp. gauge>9years+<not really relevant as bus has hardly been off the axle stands in that time so reckon engine temp is most likely within safe range

  4. Sounds like they're going to waste then. There is a engine somewhere crying out for more horses

  5. I haven't had one thing for a long time, but I am a bugger for collecting lots of little bits that then accumulate into a huge pile of things I'll get round to doing one day. I've had a 3 way fridge in the shed for over a year, I've now just acquired a Westy LPG tank, I've got a new glass for my speedo which is has the correct hole in it for the trip counter reset button (current one is cracked), I've got US spec front indicators to go on so I can have sidelight bulbs in them as part of my "deluxe trim" theme, along with new clear indicator lenses that Josh at JK swears will not fade like the ones I've currently got fitted have done, I have a cupboard door in the van that needs to be replaced because the handle is broken, I have a Westy right-angled table leg and brackets waiting for me to make a table top for it and fit it to the van, a Firetec foam automatic extinguisher still in its box in the shed, a new cable for the windscreen/leg vents lever on the dashboard, blue paint mixed up for repainting the dashboard which needs removing and sending down to the media blasters, dormobile bunk bed frames hanging up in the garage that I need to buy canvas for and fit, the list goes on. I even have heater cables that I never got round to fitting and are now surplus because scooby engines don't have heat exchangers. :) Oh, and I've now just bought some opening cab door quarterlights at Brighton Breeze. They have also taken up residence in the shed too.

    Nothing for the van but I did find a spare petrol tank for a Bultaco Sherpa T in the shed a couple of weeks ago & still in it's original unopened box.
    I haven't owned a Sherpa T since 1974 :eek::oops:

    I've got a fuel cut off solenoid in my tool box that I bought years ago.
    Guess I should sell it now I've got an electronic fuel pump!

    Hmmm...lets see...A lourvered window and seal,some tyre white walls (but im not going to bother with those as they are sh*t,apparently),2 heat exchangers,(still waiting to find a 'Y' piece),a roof rack.
    Ive got a whole new set of brakes,shoes,drums,pads,caliper rebuild kit,goodrich hoses,under seat rubber mats,new engine crank seals,flywheel seal,pulleys,and plugs,points,leads e.t.c to fit...but i'll wait 'till winter to do that.Do a bit of welding first,while the engines out.
