sorry that link is only for the flaps in the heat exchange unit not the one's in the fan shroud connected to the thermostat.

 

Ok to reinstall is the way forward.! thanks for the input.

 

Also aftermarket fan shrouds should be avoided as they don't have the directional flapage inside

 

and Flap!

 

Can anyone point the ones of us without the flaps, rods, thermostat bracket in the right direction to manufacturers who sell them or know of people who have them. the parts seem to be like hens teeth or unicorn poo.
