flaps....

  1. now I've got your attention :D

hopefully picking up my tin ware from powder coating tomorrow and so I will be re assembling everything, but it crossed my mind, when I took the flaps out of the fan housing, I noticed there were elongated holes ...possibly for adjusting their position?

so my question is - other than making sure you get them the right way round, and the right way up......is there a wrong way of installing the flaps? .....I would assume they just had to be level with the bottom of the fan housing - is that about right?

    its for a 1600 BTW

    thanks :)

  4. no there is no wrong way? ....yes level with bottom of housing???

.......your going to say yes and yes and confuse me even more

lol ......a lot of help you are

just thinking, the 'adjustment ' could that be to alter when the thermostat operates them

.....in the absense of any one knowing for sure I guess I'll fit them level with the housing

  5. Off the top of my head, level with the bottom of the housing. You can't really mis-position them, as long as everything lines up with the right slots/holes (including the cutouts in the cylinder head tinware, where the flap bolt heads stick through). No big deal.
