    Hi all
So after fitting my refurbished carb. I remember that on fitting the accelerator cable, someone needs to hold the accelerator pedal to the floor, then tighten up the cable whilst the arm on the carb is is down, and while the choke is open.
Can anyone confirm this is the case?
As I've done this, but the pedal seems flat, in that there's alot of play in the pedal and with my foot right down seems lacking speed then before?

  2. Leave the pedal alone .
Make sure the choke is off , pull the cable through the barrel leaving a very small amount of slack and lock it up with the screw , choke MUST be off though !!

    Job done ...

  3. ^this. Heave the cable end with pliers to pull the pedal up off the floor.

Thanks gent's. I thought that was the case, but remember seeing somewhere, whilst trawling the net, the way I described above.
Wonder if it was for older bug's or buses?
