Firetec help needed

  1. I've still not got around to fitting my extinguisher, I've gone to do it today & realised I don't know which way to fit it. A bit of the writing has worn off & I'm stumped:-

The dot is where the pickup tupe is

    It says
Mount upright or this side down

As it says: mount upright or this side down. It all depends on your application and space. I'm so shocked that you haven't done this already Chris considering what happened to your green bus :( Once bitten, twice shy and all that jazz.

FYI: I didn't know the dot was where the pick up was but always followed that instruction. Whatever the view is l try and mount them upright as much as possible.

Upright just inside the engine bay works well.

  11. Thinking of fitting mine here:-

The hose will curve nicely without kinking & the hose should reach all the fuel lines. :)

No photos yet other than my own.

That place works but check it won't foul any parts of engine you have as you still run with the F.I.

I found it easier to mount the extinguisher here on T4 engines.

  13. I think that's the best place, I tried mine there but the other extinguisher is in the way.

  14. After Birdy's pic I went for this:-

I even used the proper screws. :)

Make sure you put it so you can check the gauge on it and its a good idea to tip it up side down once a year to mix the stuff up

powder ones should be tipped once in a while no need on attf

  18. i lkie the idea of this but has anyone been unfortunate enough to have one go off?
does it work as well as it should?

I think it says in the instruction leaflet that it comes with about mixing it up

I tend to check the gauge on mine when i check the engine oil level (normally before going away) then give it a mix up on a oil change service

I bit over the top but would hate for it not to work due to not doing a quick check.
