So following an extreme sports injury* almost 3 years ago I finally got a series of MBB injections on Monday.

All I can say is they have worked, I know they are only short term and mainly used to confirm the issue but I’m happy, well I’d be happier if I hadn’t caught another chest infection and ended up back on antibiotics.

    * I fell off a friend having a piggy back.

  2. Glad you’ve got some relief even if it’s only short term
Living with pain is no fun

Been 5 days so far and the relief is immense.
I damaged my coccyx and my SI joint so was literally a pain in the arse to do anything

Did anyone at the hospital believe the old “piggy back” routine?

  5. Were you on painkillers before?
The consultant wants me on gabapentin but I keep refusing it
Apparently it will just make me sleepy all the time and I’d like to do more not less.

  6. Apparently it was a naked piggy back ride and he accidentally landed on something when he fell:eek:

yep all sorts including getting stuck in a car and needing an ambulance to help me out because of the pain.
The only thing that slightly worked was diazepam but that wasn't for the right reasons so only had it few times. celoxcib and Methocarbamol daily is what I’m on now

I damaged my coccyx many years ago after landing at the bottom of an inflatable slide on a works 'It's a Knockout' day

Took years to heal. Sitting day for more than 20 minutes was a right pain, so I understand the trauma.

he special coccyx cushion is one of the best things I ever bought. I have one for my bike too, as you’ll know, the pain is so intense it’s virtually impossible to change position at times

I badly sprained my ankle years ago being the top of a 3 person piggy back that collapsed. The next day when I went to hospital I had to explain how it happened and that it was at 3 am , I think they guessed alcohol was involved

that’s great news, hopefully any tenseness you’ve got from being in pain will also disappear

Unfortunately only a couple had been consumed so it would be wrong to blame that
