  1. When you book a ferry for the bus, say from Harwich to Amsterdam., is the bus classed as a car? Which option would you use?

    options given:
Car, MPV, 4x4, under 1.8m high
Car, MPV, 4x4, over 1.8m high
motorhome to minibus to 6m long
motorhome to minibus to 10m long
motorhome to minibus to 12m long
    bikes etc

Book my bus on a Dover-Calais ferry as a car. Nothing was mentioned.

  4. When I booked up with Brittany ferries they told me I was a MPV vehicle that was in my crew cab, I went for the higher option too. It was only an extra £50 On top of a car reason being I didn't want the hassle if they said anything and checked.
When we were There I didn't see anybody looking at the vehicles height or length.

  5. we are planing a trip to Holland next year and intend to book our camper as Car, MPV, 4x4, over 1.8m high

  6. When we went to France last year with P&O we booked as a car..
"Car, MPV, 4x4, over 1.8m high"

I would have been qute happy to argue with em had they of wanted to charge me more.

    :D

We booked mine as the lower one. I was waiting for the argument and then l was going to plead ignorance and say I'd measured a friends lowered bus when Mark called to ask about the height. Needless to say we were not stopped or asked.
