well i've finally got my bum into gear to do this again... hello, i'm Lisa i've been addicted to old vw's for longer than i can remember. I'm originally a Scunny (scunthorpe) lass, and am now living/working in Nottingham (via Devon and Leeds). I own a Tomato Red GT Beetle (my daily driver) and a recently resprayed (don't ask) '73 bay, now white over pampas green (ish) this year the plan was to get the bus sprayed and the interior finally finished, then get the bug in for welding, prep and a respray over winter while using the bus as my daily. The reason being that we are facing job losses (not redundancies *grr*) and if i don't commit to get my dubs sorted now, i may not if i'm out of work. I WOULD sell my house before i sold my vw's, and i love my house, but love my dubs more. so, without further ado, here are the boys! Dougal (atm he has white fibreglass wings) Trevor oh, and here's my cat chickpea (she's a girl)
p.s. it's not me driving the bug, but my friend sara... she then sped off after i took this must remember to take friends off insurance, or get new friends!
and a big belated welcome from me for your belated hello ;D I've been following your tales of woe from the painters lovely looking vehicles though .......at least yours are on the road ;D
good luck with it, hope it all goes well this time I didnt really have anything to add to your other threads Im afraid but I really felt your pain ....I'll offer my sympathy here though Love the pampus green BTW good choice 8)
Cheers. I Lo e the colour too, and think I was overwhelmed by the colour change before noticing the appalling finish. Dougal would've been a cal looked if I hadn't found his engine number and felt responsible to put him back to stock.
Hi Ermintrude, I've been following your trials and tribulations on your paint thread. When you "sort" the beetle will you paint it to match your bus?
