Hi do you still have the heat exchangers? What repairs need doing to them please? Are they suitable for the 2L CU engine? Can you please confirm the price, I got a bit lost along the way! Thanks

 

yes i still have the hx they now do not have the headers attatched so just the main body and the curved tube from the rear if that makes sense, the repairs needed are minor, basically the very ends where they sit round the pipe itself are a bit worn so they have a slightly bigger gap than they should, this would allow a small amount of heat out but the main body itself is sound. i adjusted the price to £25 for the pair, they will fit any engine (type 4) as long as your headers are triangular flanged.

 

I'd missed the t4 bit haha so they won't fit but thanks anyway

 

t4 engine is your engine type a 2 litre is a t4 engine

 

can you tell this is not my camper haha none of it makes sense to me its a t2 campervan with a CU 2l vege engine. The heat exchangers are cracked where they bolt to the cylinder head so thats what we need apparently!

 

it is confusing, but basically the type 2 is the name of the camper for some reason they call the 1700/1800/2000 engine a type 4 engine not to be confused with a t4 camper which is a builders van.
these will fit yours as long as your headers (the bits that bolt to the heads) are triangular ports.
