Can anyone tell me please if it's possible to replace the hinge pins on a late bay engine lid? Mine are all there but very loose. The hinges and mounting areas are all solid.

Yes they're just roll pins, tap them out with a suitable drift carefully to avoid paint damage, I think it's best knocking them from the middle outwards with the lid open.

Thanks flakey. Any idea of the exact size and where to buy some?

Can't remember the size, its been a few years but Halfords, eBay , screwfix etc do assorted boxes.
In theory you should be able to knock the old one out with the new one but 40 years of crud will put paid to that plan.
Think I used the shank of an already broken drill bit.
