electrical problem

Help... rear o/s indicator blown so replaced bulb, easy, no.... Now stop/tail flashes and indicator doesn't ! rapid flash with front still working. I'm no sparky so any ideas ? For the record, wiring looks like proper rats nest, brittle too. Any advice appreciated, cheers.

 

Check the earth connection/tag on the bodywork near the lamp assembly. The unit's not being earthed properly.
