Electric washer bottle

Thought I would take out the old pressurised water bottle and fit a electric washer system , every bus seems to fail the MOT on lack of water washer pressure so I thought why not

 

It's a good upgrade, I fitted the switch to the stalk so no push button on dash, switch is on eBay with fitting instructions about £6

 

What you need now is a wiper delay relay that gives you five wipes after you’ve had a squirt

 

I just fitted an electric pump bought from our local car spares place to the outlet of the existing tank, made sure it was arranged so the drain hole in the pump let out the water (put it pumping end down not up despite how neat that seems : if you put it motor down, the motor will fill up with water) .

Made sure any air valves on the top of the existing tank were non existent, so air could go in the cap.

Fitted a tiny switch in the lever assembly instead of the valve. Job done.
