This is probably a massively stupid question but will we need some sort of adaptor for the hook up in Paris? It doesn't say much on the website at all about the electrics so thought I'd better check. If we do, would it be a standard adaptor or one particularly for hook up thingys? Cheers
yes you do .... i have a lead at home i think that i purchased when i was out there in a tent many years ago. it did not go into the van but just a normal plug at the end ..... you can buy them in supermarkets out thee or a good camping shop here will sell one before you go
most sites should be the same blue plug as hear but some old sites may still have the French 2 pin plug You can get a adaptor for this or i might have one you can have. Things to watch for is some sites only supply a 6amp hookup They are not to bothered if the live and neutral are round the wrong way this should course you any issues as long as you have a 2pole RCD in you fuse box
looks a nice site in one if the pictures it looks like a blue hook up point so should be fine as its a modern site it should be fine
Great, thanks everyone I think that we're stuck there whether we like it or not, there's nothing else around open in winter Fingers crossed but to be honest it's really just a bed for the night, we have all of Paris to explore ^-^
watch out for the tunnels "lost satellite signal" if you have sat nav.... ;D Going for a special reason?
Yep sat nav on board although if that does happen I'm hoping for massive signs that just say Paris ^-^ We were originally going to Carcassonne but everything's a bit shut in winter and the only site we could find was a bit isolated so we're replanning that for summer. Didn't want to abandon an xmas trip totally though and realised we'd never been to Paris so et voila! Can't wait!!!
They tend not to chase up foreign vehicles for speed fines... I am on my third [as of today]and I have the bleep bleep sat nav.... :
