There goes my evening We've been called out to search for a missing rock fisherman. He was supposed to be back by lunchtime & hasn't returned. Why do people wait so long to report these things? That was 6 or 7 hours ago We've called in aerial support to light the cliff faces up with their searchlights. Every holiday weekend we get the same thing, glad I only had a couple of beers tonight. Catch you all later.
Back home now. Found him alive if somewhat battered & bruised at around 2.00am. He'd got washed off his feet by a larger than normal wave & had become disoriented. He ended up walking in the wrong direction then decided to rest up in a cave, where he fell asleep. We got him up the cliff on a Stokes Litter & into an ambulance to go to hospital. Apart from cuts, bruises & a possible fractured arm he has a bit of hypothermia. Now for a couple of hours sleep.

Now I can't get to sleep & the dogs think it must be "go for a walk time". Think I'll have a brew & a nap on the sofa
