I have charging light on faintly so I guess brushes. And I am guessing they are done in situ, correct me if i am wrong and feel free to advise me on the job.cheers in advance. Malc
you can do it in situ , its pretty straightforward, pull back pressure spring, undo screw holding wire, pull out brush, reverse to fit new one, takes 10-15 mins
How faint is faint? A slightly glowing light is common and, I'd guess, is more to do with the miles of wiring to the generator or alt light than anything wrong with the charging. Measure your charging voltage before getting your soldering iron out...
It was ok until a few weeks ago no light dim or otherwise, now i have a faint light and no headlight heightening when. I rev her.
