Dylan enters the arena.......

    Good afternoon from the wilds of Wiltshire! As another new boy I just wanted to say hello and post up the customary pics.

    As you can see, Dylan is a very late bay and I bought him some 10 years after selling my first camper, a 1973 Devon. He's a 2.0 TC and he's only done 300 miles in 3 years on a re-con engine. Sadly he's misbehaving and misfires when I drive him cold (although strangely he ticks over beautifully when I start him up) but once he's warmed up he seems ok. My brother has fitted electronic ignition/coil, new plugs/leads, adjusted the tappets and checked just about everything else but he's still playing up. He's due to check the valve clearances this week so fingers crossed that'll sort him out. If not, I'll be finding a cat to kick!!!!!

    Anyway, enough of my waffle and hello to you all.

    Hi from Cheshire , tappets/valve clearances same thing? Are they hydraulic?

    Flakey, I have no idea! My brother is a mechanic so as a consequence, I'm clueless! What I've written makes no sense to me so if I've got it all mucking fuddled, that's why!
