  1. The new owner collected my camper tonight and enjoyed the drive home.
I had to sell her as since my stroke I can no longer manage her. I can't even get down to the engine bay. The wife has been good learning a bit and the lad across the road (who is restoring his own '75 bay) has helped with services. It was sad leaving it sitting on the drive and not moving.
The new owner is a skilled welder, painter and knows how to work a spanner. He has promised to keep in touch.
He just emailed me to say that they are going for a picnic in her on Tuesday.
I had owned her since 1994 so it is the end of an era. Still I have many memories of time away in her and a computer full of photographs.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to sell your bus in such circumstances, the new owner sounds a good chap though and it must be reassuring to know that it's gone to a good home. Wishing you all the very best for the future.

  3. Sorry to hear this, likewise, wishing you all the best. Your Bay did no more, or less, than any of us can ask for, it created a treasure trove of happy memories.

Reckon mine will have to go the same way one day. Pleased for you that it seems to have found a good home.
