Drivers seat, early style runners

Have stripped my drivers seat to find spring broken on back part and the top part of the frame is broken. Anybody got an earlier style drivers seat going? I'm gonna get them recovered so don worry if covers are tatty. Cheers

I can check up at the mechanics next week if you like. He has several he's wrecking. Although postage may be a killer.

 

There is one on eBay.

 

cant you repair the springs? thats what they normally do

 

I tried to repair using an electrical connector but no good.
I've got another drivers seat but it looks thinner/ smaller than the other one? Strange! Any ideas? Read somewhere later seats were a different shape?
Will check fleabag but if its tag one in Swansea it's collection only. Cheers.

I rang them and the said they offer a gold service which means they strip the seat, repair spring and reweld any broken parts then spray the seat before they replace the seat padding and fit covers. Is tat what you meant fella, enquire first??

 

Any ideas once style of seat I've got?? Will see if I can find pics.

 

This is what I've just put in instead of the broken one but you can see it tapers in at the top, it's slimmer???

Post up a pic of what you have, if we cannot see the damage we can't offer suggestions or try and help with replacement parts

Cheers Tiny, it's just location that's a problem, I'm all the way down south, well Cambridge. That is a drivers seat, I might get back to you cos it'll probably save a lot of hassle with repairs

 

Hi, I've posted some pics that I took today hopefully be clear enough for you to see my dilemma




The black brace bar attaches to either side of the seat and the top back spring I've swapped the bottom one thinking it would fix it, but obviously not lol. Any ideas if you've got those parts Matt?
