hi all can any one help with advise on the best way to seal the 2 windows in a dormobile roof.I have new seals but worried they will leak.I have been told to use udder grease but if you know of a better product I would be great full thanks
I had mine done by a guy in Stanford le Hope, not sure where you are tho, if not a plant glazing company as I remember the glass is similar to old school cars etc
Cut the seals about an inch too long, and make sure the ends are compressed against each other. Also use black snot in the groove on the fibreglass side of the seal and on the ends. Our roof windows only leak in one small place, where I didn't compress the ends of the seal against each other enough. I'll fix the small drip with some more black snot at some point. The guide from the seals place said to squirt the snot into the seal groove. I'm wondering whether it might not be easier and cleaner to inject the snot into the seal after the glass is fitted but before the filler strip is put in.
