  1. Getting new door cards made and I am unsure whether or not I should put the door vents backs on or not. Any thoughts???

yes,the water runs down the inside of the doors, the vents help to circulate the air and dry them out.

  3. Good question. I'm in same boat. What do they do ?

Ok Rick posted while I was typing.

  5. Zed is right, It actually pours through the window scraper...

Try it with a hose pipe if you don't agree

  6. Pretty unanimous then?

  7. i put them in also, Schofields advised me to do so, to stop the doors rotting. i have also waxoyled the insides of the doors.

  8. I generally work on the principle that VW put things in for a reason. So stick em back in!

  9. Cool. Just messages my trimmer and he's gonna cut the hole for me. Sweet

  10. Yep, stick 'em in. They help dry the door interior. They actually suck, not blow.

  11. Really? I thought the air came in through the front of the door and out there. Does the air passing over the van draw air out of the front door gaps then? Makes sense I guess, but I'm not too hot on aerodynamics;)

  12. Air whizzes round front corners of van, speed increases, pressure decreases, so there's low pressure at the slots in the front of the door pressing. This sucks air through the vents, into the door. You can feel it if you stick your hand down to the vent while driving along.
