Door rubbers

  1. Hi guys.
can anybody assist with a how to fit cab door rubbers, rear hatch and sliding door please??? Do I need any glue to keep it place? Before going to the Dam I attempted to put the passenger door one on which was a nightmare so I rapped it. I never took the old ones off so was a bit of guess work. The cab door ones are from JK's, sliding door and rear are from Machine7. The rear hatch I’m convinced is not right as it does go in ok but can’t shut the engine lid.. (waiting to hear back from machine7)
Would appreciate any advice, pics or even YouTube clips if any.

  2. I've not fitted my doors or slider yet but the rear hatch is easy. Start in the corners no glue needed.

Edit just re-read your question, I bought all my rubbers from C&C they are the expensive German quality ones. My rear seal like all the others is soft grey rubber and fits a treat. What quality are the ones you have bought? If they are cheap and hard black rubber you will struggle, always best to buy the expensive ones when it comes to seals.

  3. they are black rubber... need to try and get my money back and buy another. the JK ones for the door and grat soft rubber.

Hi All, I was reading this post with interest. Both front doors on mine stick out at the bottom corner (please see photo). Do you think this is symptomatic of doors seals being too firm? Will the expensive ones (£49) fix this problem? Rain is also getting in somehow. IMG_0033.jpg

  5. I bought megabug rubbers for the sliding door and rear tailgate, whilst I have had some good stuff off these guys in the past, I wouldn't buy rubbers again from them.

I would expect that properly designed and manufactured rubbers should fit without glue...
