This is a side thread to my earlier post about vinyl wrapping, The quotes I'm getting back are more then I was expecting, and I'm just wondering if anyone on the TLB knows any one in the midlands area who would respray my bus (bar the roof) It doesn't have to be the best paint job in the world, the re build has cost me more then expected to get it back on the on the road, and I don't want to miss out on the show season again. I've done all the prep work my self and will have it in primer in the next week or two. But I'm looking for some one to the top coat and make it shine at a budget If anyone can help or know some one who is willing to help me, please let me know
i do , i know a chap in kidderminster who you could give a ring - This is he , mention me malcolm . Steve Connolly01562 754634 - Clensmore St, Kidderminster, DY10 2JB
Theres always the approach of painting it yourself Great results can be achieved with rustoleum and a foam gloss roller if your willing to put the time and effort in
I'm willing to put the time and effort in. But scared of the outcome, and the waste of materials if I mess it up
I'd second this recommendation - he resprayed a sliding door for me. Same scenario, I prepped it, masked it off, provided the paint, Steve painted it.
I'm going to go down this route.....My thinking is that anything is better than the household paint currently stuck to the van! Looks like a lot of time and effort though
There is a DVD from the 80/90 club you can buy too for about £10. Might be worth the investment for anyone going down this route.
Stick rustoleum paint job into you tube theres loads of vids on there If paul weeding wasent painting my van id be rollering it with rustoleum at home
Mines Rustolium rollered, been done 3 years now and it's still good. Cost around fifty quid for the paint. Rollers extra. Some have used coach paint on theirs. The club 80-90 thread on this subject is very good.
