I just bought a bulldog wheel clamp, more so if I park for the day on holiday or for few hours, ,thing is it looks a good deterrent as its yellow and big,got steering wheel lock too, http://www.laleisure.co.uk/bulldog-euro-clamp you could always take your gear knob off and ashtray, then they wouldn't know what gear they are in if they did start it, oh and join the Stolen Vw Register, I will see if I can find a link
I've got one of those battery clamps that you take part of it away with you. It has a a by-pass fuse for radio etc. but will blow on starting. Also, when I fitted a fuel cut-off solenoid near the tank, I put a switch under the bed so if they do get it started, it won't get far.
