  1. Yay the forum is back! Looking to make an engine dolly like this

Has anyone had a go and if so do you have the dimensions? And do I only need to support it on the crank case? I want to try my welding skills out!

  2. If you already have a trolley jack why not make up a support frame that utilizes the spigot of the lift cup or whatever it has? That way lifting, lowering, and generaly moving about is done by one piece of kit. After use remove it and the Jack reverts back to being just a lifter.

  3. I don't have a decent jack yet. It's more for moving it at home so I can move it out of the corner so I can work on it.

  4. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Get a mate and lift it onto a workmate. Ideal I find.

  5. Could do but I want the satisfaction of building something!
