Hi everyone sorry for no updates lots of personal things been going on - Bertie is well on his way now lots of body prep - I am very pleased with his Harley Davidson pop out fuel filler cap - His roof is painted in old english white I am prepping like made on his body that will be Fiat 500 baby blue - His front bumper is all re shaped nice snug fit - His rear 8x14 banded steels are here and his narrowed front rims these wil be candy red with domed capes- So whats next - paint him - lower him - start and put him back together then for his interior - Then an engine rebuild or upgrade -
Just in from the workshop why is colour sanding so much fun
A good day on Bertie the roof is all now colour sanded and polished - A trial fit with some fender spats a bit a bit of a different look
1st bit of colour
looking good dale
Woosh his banded steels have pain - Beauty rings and whitwalls to come they just need a coat of clear
seen a set of banded wheels on a pre 67 beetle at the weekend , they where class
A major step forward he is now in paint
cracking job there dale love the colour , a good colour make s such a big difference to the look
Thank you for your comments cant wait to start and put him together
A bit more work on Bertie - I have fitted drop spindles and he sits on his new wheels - The internal cupboards are all in clear coat now - he is sound proofed and insulated - overhead locker is in - still not happy with front ride height i may have a problem the drop isnt right - but i will sort it. I have fitted a retro head unit - all the dash is painted - the rear vents are now illuminated - i have fitted a fold up seat and a swing out table -
Love the vent lights
And just had a thought, make them change colour based on the fuel/air ratio
Stylish and functional
P.S. I am sitting in the pub
Agree will have a go myself if @outlaw hasn't patented the idea yet...
