Devon Roof

  1. Thanks for the help so far.

Camper roof is a concertina style Devon with two child bunks in that run front to back. Only issue is that my son has rapidly outgrown these and I want to try to fabricate a temporary full width bed up there that is long enough for a 5'9'' (and growing) 13 year old.

Would be ideal to rest some mdf on the bunk bars, however, this would need some stablizing, especially near the back of the van when they are virtually together in the middle.

Anyone done or seen anything similar?

    Thanks

    Ed

  2. Think it would be a custom made thing mate , I've looked at different ways like this my self but don't really need them now

  3. Could you not rest boards on the top flat section and have them concertina out with abit of foam on? or if you get fancy you could fix a batton abit lower down then the roof would still shut.
