Devon louvered windows

  1. Hi, with the twin panel louvered windows is there a difference between a micro bus window and a panel van window? If not is there a special seal used on a panel van? Thanks, Alex

  2. A standard seal will do the trick but you have to put something around the window edge to make it thicker so that gasket fits it snug.

  3. Thanks, and I appreciate this, however I need to know if there is a panel van specific window and micro bus specific window?

  4. ^this (whatever seal you use). My Devon window was fitted with a rubber or plastic surround (can't remember which) to bring the thickness up to the same as VW glass. I assume this is a standard fitting.

  5. Panel van with a curved profile and microbus with a flat profile?

  6. both flat

  7. Cool, I have sourced (bought) a pair of flat ones but have just had the realisation that they are the wrong ones as they came out of a factory window bus. Will these fit? If so do you know where to get this spacer shim? With a bit of extra research I have noticed that Devon panel van conversions seem to have the vent levers in the middle rather than on the outside of the glass like mine?

  8. I have just sold an ex-Microbus one. The vent levers were on the outside of the glass. I believe the panel van version is different but don't know how.
