Devon & Cornwall

  1. We are thinking about a trip to Devon & Cornwall in june for a week and im just looking for advice on where to visit & where to stay.
We won't have the van so We'll be driving down in the golf. Any nice lodges, cabins or cottages for rent that anyone know of?
We usually do a ten day Scottish isles trip in the van but with a new baby we've decided to do something different this year. We'll probably stop half way on the way down for a night and the same on the way home just to break it up a bit.
Any advice appreciated. I'll grab a coffee and put my feet up to read any responses tomoro..
    Cheers Neil

Have a pint in the Heron inn at Malpas just outside Truro then take the ferry down the Fal to Falmouth.
Minnack theatre , outdoor theatre carved into the rock near Penzance even better if there's a performance on that you fancy on a warm summer evening.

  3. Stay at The Meadows in Pentewan and stay in one of their little caravans :)

Then you won't miss your bus too much.

Eden project and get your van broke into while car park security drives by watching  then have the pigs demand postage to send your recovered goods to you:mad:.

Its was many many many years ago so may have better staff now.

  11. That sounds shocking! I personally didn't like the Eden project when we went a few years ago as to me it was just like a big garden centre which I don't like either :D

  12. Eden project's worth a one-time visit I think, if only to have your picture taken by the cannabis plantation. It is a bit earth-mothery-holier-than-thou, tho'

You can buy lots of useful recycled stuff.

  14. The zip wire offers an interesting view of the domes too. Not all the guides were trained in Salt Lake City but they have to be 99.9% behind the corporate image :D

  15. Already had my van broken into locally so I guess it could happen anywhere.

Pricing it all up we could probably have a pretty nice holiday abroad for the same or less money., then I'd still be saying I'd like to visit Devon and Cornwall. :)

Will keep looking at all the options. Thanks for the replies & advice.

  17. A beard and sandals would definitely improve chances of employment. Best thing about it I thought were the domes...and they were engineering...

  18. :D
I have both of those :D
