    PopRoof.jpg TopBunk.jpg Hi
Lots of questions at the moment as doing some work and have to work stuff out. We have one bunk in already in the devon pop top area and I wish to put the other one in on the other side. Problem is there is a light there at the moment. Was wondering where the light was originally in the Devon when both bunks are in?
Does anyone have a pic of there light position with two bunks up?

    thanks for help

  2. the original Labcraft light was a flourescent, than ran lengthwise down the middle of the roof....pretty carp IMO and necessitated a length of cable hanging down to the shaver socket/front courtesy light (from whence it took it's power)
I'd be inclined to stick with what you have and/or run some strip LEDs down the channels either side of each bunk....

  3. from memory, my original one was just above the brackets for the bunks (front end of bus, center of the bit that is bent up towards the pop top)

  4. Depending on age, originally there would have been a light on the bulkhead just behind the cab (near to the front courtesy light). Later ones had them in the middle of the roof, and the double top versions had them where yours is more or less. Yours in a non standard light fitting which has been fitted once the bunk was removed, by the looks of it. It is probably wired to your leisure battery system.

LED sounds the way to go as those fluorescents are quite bulky.

Bearing in mind mine is the later Devon roof, this is the position my light is in:

As vanorak says a cable has to run down somewhere - in my case at the front of the pop top to the 'socket'

Thanks guys. I guess mine is behind the courtesy light then. Does anyone have a pic of this?
