Detritus in oil

    When checking the oil after changing it I found the following in the old oil. It looks to be a form of plastic & a bit like a thick 2-3mm washer (?)
    It wasn't in the tray when I started.
    Any ideas?

    It looks like the remains of an old valve stem seal. They are no longer used so nothing to worry about.

    Could be a bakelite washer from the oil drain plug ..
