  4. We've yet to sample the delights of Dent, so might make it to this. It's really too cold for me to even begin to think about camping yet, so I'll put it on our list of 'maybes' for this year

Dent is a beautiful and normally tranquil place, it's a really nice campsite and it's right next to the village. I've been about four/five times now over the years and that's why I thought having Springcamp there would be great and it turned out to be a good choice has many of those who went love the place, there's normally lots of space on the site but during the music and beer festival i'm afraid Margaret charges more than normal and crams as many as she can in, If you really wanna see Dent at it's best it's probably better to go at another time

Can't drink on a Sunday, it's time to drive home, plus the main event up norff is the week after ;)

  9. That's why I don't go home till the Monday and that way the rac
    Aren't as busy either ;)

  10. We have been to Dent three times and each time was very different, but have to say all were enjoyable. The Music and Beer Festival is extremely busy but it does have a great atmosphere and does add a new dimension to the place. Of course as with anywhere in this country, the weather does have an impact, but it doesn't have to spoil things - last year's festival started off wet but we had great fun, still have fond memories of singing The Wild Rover ....

I couldn't get through by phone, emailed her a few weeks back & not heard anything. I've been really bogged down at work, I'll give her a call Thursday (meetings all day tomorrow) & see where we get to

    Right - here goes!

Ive just called Margaret at High Laning, and have booked us a group camping spot for the Beer and Music Festival. She is allocating us a pitch with four hook-ups to share.

    http://www.highlaning.com/

Its booked in my name (Mark Chelu) and the booking reference is #82 and anyone who wants to go, call on 01539 625239 and quote the reference number.

One thing, I haven't booked anyone else, I'll leave that up to you guys as I didn't want to presume anything (if anyone wants me to call & book you in, I'll do that gladly)

I'll start a list, as follows:

    1. MorkC68, Michelle & maybe Ellie

  16. The map on my stoopid phone won't bring Dent up (or any of the local places they name on their directions). Where is it/near?

    Scrap that - found it

  17. I've just spoken to Margaret, Mark @MorkC68 and she said you had made a block booking for 20 vans so didn't understand why I was ringing to confirm really. She is worried now that if lots of other people ring she may have about 40 vans turning up! I told her I doubted she would have more than 20 but she wasn't convinced .... She seems rather disorganised as usual!!! So we will just add our names to your list I think, would like hook-up if poss.

She's a card  She was heading back to lambing when I spoke with her - I did say that best thing would be for people to call her direct & add to the list!

  20. I'd like to join the 20 too
