Dellorto Emulsion Tubes

  1. The Dellorto book has this page..,

I've got two to look at, a .2 on the left and a .4 on the right under each thumb, two pics next to each other spun round 90°

Those holes look nothing like the book!

So by just looking the .4 has an extra hole just on the top of the shoulder and as it's quite high up my guess it would be slightly leaner at top end?

    Anyone suggesst a preference?

Before I put this lot back in...

Somebody in the past had a wideband sensor and a set of small drills.

Unless you can actually measure the AFR , its just a random suck it and see..

I would have thought a bit rich low down for pick up, lean mid throttle for "economy", richer WOT for "cooling".

Or are the diagrams just the fingering for "Three Blind Mice" on the recorder ?

That page is a red herring, those are not DRLA tubes of which there are 4 normal types + a turbo version only.

.2's are widely (exclusively) recommended, but hang on to those .4's,, I might be interested if you don't want them.

  4. They're the badgers..

Will go with the .2, fish the 28 venturies out of the 36's and pop em back together see what the running is like..

  5. Another pic to add to your collection. My DRLA40s are running a .2 (.1s with the very top hole soldered up).

3's are the same as 2's but the fat part in the middle is a bit narrower. I'd quite like to try those.

  7. Has anyone tried playing a sailor's hornpipe on a Dell emulsion tube?
